Going on a Safari!

It was an AWESOME day with our little ants!

Some monkeys have come to "hang out" with our ants for SAFARI WEEK!

Here is a look at all that we did today:

Language Circle

Today during language circle we worked on matching colors with
our jungle themed animals!

We each got 2 safari animals and matched the correct animal to the color given to us by Miss Dallas!

Science

Question: Who will hide better behind the green leaves?
The green frog or the yellow frog?

Prediction: Next, each took a guess at which frog would hide better in the green leaves!

and some of us thought the
green frog would hide better.
Some of us thought the yellow
 frog would hide better

Experiment: Then, each of our ants got a small bag of "leaves" as well as a green frog and a yellow frog. We put each frog behind the leaves and looked to see which one "hid" better!

Results: We saw (or didn't see!) that our green frogs were harder to find than our yellow frogs, so green frogs hide better than the yellow ones!

Art

Today in art we made safari hats! We had so much fun decorating and wearing our hats around the class in our own little jungle!

We can't wait to sliiiiiiiide into tomorrow! Don't forget to wear your camp t-shirts!
