Day 4 - Washing Our Body
Today was an excellent last day of our FIRST week of camp! We learned all about how we wash our body. To get our camp day started, we always get everyone together in our welcome circle. We sang our morning song, Rise and Shine, and then each camper had a chance to put their picture up on the welcome board.
After morning circle we all had some outside time on the playground. We practiced walking while holding the rope and taking turns with our friends on the slide!
Next up is science! Before we could learn about washing our hands we had to get dirty! We helped each other make a bowl of mud and then we got to put our guess on our "I think..." board to see if we needed flour or soap in our water to wash our hands. We got to play in a tub of water and soap to get ALL cleaned up!
During art, the Awesome Ants talked more about getting ourselves squeaky clean. Our art today was making a bathtub with lots of bubbles! The kids followed directions to make our art and we even got to put a rubber duck in our bathtub!
We all got into the groove of our camp schedule and our favorite song this week was all about our 5 senses! We liked to sing this one at the end of the day in our closing circle. What a great way to sing about all the things we learned. We had such a fun first week of camp! We can't wait to see all our Awesome Ants on Monday for another fun-filled camp week!
