The hot, HOT Desert!

Happy Wednesday with our little ants!

Here is a look at all that we did today:
BOOK OF THE DAY:
What Is a Desert?

We started off in our good morning circle and then, as always, had so much fun outside on the playground!  Everyone did a great job today playing with their friends.

Language Circle!

We did an AWESOME job listening to our story today and then spent some time sorting our animals.  Which ones live in the hot and the cold?  Then we sang our Hot and Cold song!

Science!

In science today we continued to explore the difference between hot and cold!  The Wild West is a desert that is hot, hot, hot so we got to touch some HOT desert sand and some COLD ice cubes.  We talked about how the sand at the beach can get very hot, and we slid our ice cubes across the table.  They made our fingers cold!

Art!

Today for art we made a desert scene with a horse and a cowboy with our face on it! We got to use glue sticks and marker "dotters" to decorate.  Everyones                                             cowboy looks great!

We can't wait to learn about how our desert plants in the Wild West grow tomorrow and sing more about Alice the Camel!

***Please remember to wear your camp t-shirt tomorrow!***
