All done with day 2! Today was very fun and action packed! We started the day with our good morning circle! We did an AWESOME job sitting together today and sining songs. We each put our name up on the name board to make sure that all of our friends were here! After circle time we walked in an AWESOME line allllll the way to the playground!
Up next was our language circle! We read Jungle Babies by Charles Reasoner and talked about what parts of their bodies the animals used! Then, we used our senses board to talk about what body part helps you with each sense. We matched the part to the sense (smell-nose) by sticking them together on our board! Everyone took a turn and did great connecting our senses to our body!
For science today we asked "Is it soft?"! We made predictions about different items and whether or not they would be soft! After many good guesses our campers felt the different items to see if they were correct!
Then we had some fun at centers! The kitchen and colors (blocks) were a hit today!
After centers, it was time for art! We had hands to represent our sense of touch and glued soft items to it! (We left these out to dry so they will come home with your camper tomorrow!)
Today was-you guessed it- AWESOME. We are so happy our campers are settling in and can't wait for the rest of the week!
